In working with many low socioeconomic communities, we realized that a big issue holding many kids back is a lack of good STEM education. We wanted to help increase affordability.

This is why we invented Every Kid Gets a Robot (EKGAR). We started out with a Wall-E inspired design that cost less than $50 dollars to produce and targeted middle school students.

We built our first prototype in 2017, and after that focused on the production and manufacturing process for expansion.

In 2019, our business team founder and now alumni Danielle Boyer invented a version that costs less than $20 dollars and is sent for kids to free. She has sent thousands of robots out on her own. Since she spearheaded the project, we later moved EKGAR to her nonprofit The STEAM Connection. Learn more about her efforts at www.steamconnection.org
